Register for the Lifelong Learning Labs 2026!
The 2026 edition of the Lifelong Learning Lab introduces four distinct online training courses for EU and national education and training stakeholders willing to engage in advocacy actions at all levels! • One registration form: Visit the LLLAB event page and register for the LAB of your preference! • Two hours of training online: The training courses will take place on Zoom every Thursday from 19 February until 12 March from 10:30 – 12:30 CET. • Three overarching objectives: 1) foster EU cooperation in national contexts, 2) promote national lifelong learning platforms to build cross-sectoral bridges, and 3) engage and influence policies that affect us. • Four training courses to choose from! LAB 1: ‘Your role in shaping the Union of Skills’- EU Guidebook on Decision Making
• What is ‘Your role in shaping the Union of Skills’ about? The Lifelong Learning Platform will present its updated Guidebook to European decision-making in Education and Training, a seasonal publication updated with the new European Parliament and European Commission power dynamics. Ready to dive into who is who in the EU institutions, the developments of the Union of Skills and how civil society can use the understanding of how the EU policymaking works to influence the files of the Union of Skills? • When? 19 February, 10:30 – 12:30 CET, Zoom • Take a look at the agenda of the LAB 1 and save your spot!
LAB 2: ‘A social European Semester that strengthens lifelong learning- Engaging nationally in the European Semester
What is ‘A social European Semester that strengthens lifelong learning’ about? The Lifelong Learning Platform will focus on the new priorities of the European Semester and provide participants with direct tips for influencing the Semester for 2026 during the second Lab. • When? 26 February, 10:30 – 12:30 CET, Zoom • Take a look at the agenda of the LAB 2 and save your spot!
LAB 3: ‘Investing in the future of Europe – part 1’ – Collaborating with the European Parliament on the next MFF
What is ‘Investing in the future of Europe – part 1’ about? The Lifelong Learning Platform will provide more information to participants on how to engage European Parliament political groups during the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF)negotiations. Tips will be provided on the internal calendar of the political groups for the negotiations and the moments for discussion. The Lab will include the participation of the people from the political groups’ staff working on Budget (EPP, S&D, Renew Europe, Greens/EFA) and examples of members working at national level. • When? 5 March, 10:30 – 12:30 CET, Zoom • Take a look at the agenda of the LAB 3 and save your spot!
LAB 4: ‘Investing in the future of Europe – part 2’ – Collaborating with the Council of the EU on the next MFF
What is ‘Investing in the future of Europe – part 2’ about? The Lifelong Learning Platform will continue the discussion on the long-term EU budget, but it will focus on the other co-legislator in the process, namely the Council of the EU. The main objective is to help participants understand how to bridge the gap between the position of education ministries and that of finance ministries. • When? 12 March, 10:30 – 12:30 CET, Zoom • Take a look at the agenda of the LAB 4 and save your spot!
