Welcome to eucen’s monthly bulletin! The eucen Autumn Seminar 2024 opened its Call for Contributions last month. Do not forget to submit your abstracts on Sustainability and Green skills – the Call closes 15 September! Join us in Barcelona 14-15 November. Registration is also open. A new edition of the European Journal of ULLL (EJULL) has been published, portraying the papers from the eucen Autumn Seminar 2023 and the final Symposium of SMILE. Do not miss this edition focussing on Diversity and Inclusion that includes some of the works that won one of the SMILE Diversity Awards! Please, note that the eucen Secretariat will be on holidays from Monday 29 July until Friday 30 August (both days included). We will attend any message when we are back from our break. Special Call – Invitation to the Learning City-Region Talks in Pécs-Hungary, 19 September 2024

May I hereby invite you to the 5th International Learning City-Region Talks into Pécs, Hungary. This special is organised by MELLearN – Hungarian Universities LLL Network, ASEM LLL RN6, the University of Pécs and the Learning City-Region Forum of Pécs in association with the Municipality of Pécs and EAEA.
Distinguished guest speakers will discuss some challenging issues of Learning City-Region Developments in the scope of SDGs at this hybrid event, therefore, some colleagues will be present in Pécs and some will join in for the Talks in on-line modality to make input via keynote, round-tables or workshop presentations according to the attached Call.
Main theme: Learning Cities Learning from Each Other
Designated topics for discussion in workshops:
- Learning Cities as learning ecosystems;
- Stakeholder collaborations in Learning Cities;
- Making Learners’ voices get heard;
- Learning from and with citizens;
- Challenging aspects of learning through green and digital transformation in Learning Cities.

Date of event: 19th of September, 2024 10.00am – 15.00.pm CET
Please indicate your intention to present upon developments in your city and its region referring to the topics indicated above. Accordingly, please send back a short e-mail with attachment of abstract (to outline working title, max. 200 words short description of your presentation and 3-5 keywords) in PDF until 5th of September, 2024 directly to this e-mail: nemeth.balazs@pte.hu
